Paul & Nichola

I photographed Paul and Nichola’s wedding at the start of September. I met this couple through a recommendation so it’s always nice to extend the network (and to be recommended of course!). The wedding was set in the Marine Hotel in North Berwick and Paul and Nichola bravely intended to be wed out on the lawn. Well, the weather gods smiled upon us and we had a beautiful sunny day with an azure sky. It was lovely to be sitting on the lawn photographing the wedding and I’m not even going to mention the words “too bright”. Nichola had been keen to visit the beach which is only a short walk from the hotel so the bridal party headed off across the golf course. I don’t know the rules of golf but I’m sure a bride and groom strolling across the fairway must take some sort of precedence. When we got to the beach it was gorgeous, sunny, warm and the light breeze gave us the “wind machine” that always helps! We got some great shots down there and I’m so glad the guys were such good sports – sometimes brides are very worried about their dress – it gave us some great photo opportunities.
